Managing Director

As 2024 draws to a close and we look forward to what’s next in 2025, we thought it would be a good opportunity to reflect on the amazing things we have achieved this year. It’s been another fantastic year at E-Sign with plenty of growth and developments to be proud of, both in the products we provide and generally as a company. So without a further ado, let’s look back at all of E-Sign’s impressive accomplishments in 2024.

Company achievements

E-Sign has grown significantly as a company in 2024, below are some of our favourite milestones from throughout this year.

Moved to a larger office office

eSign Expands Office Space

E-Sign’s expansion resulted in the Liverpool team moving to a new 3,500 sq. ft office, which was one of the first commercial buildings the city to be connected to the Mersey Heat Network. This network features a multi-million-pound energy centre that has the capacity to provide low-carbon heating and hot water to thousands of homes and businesses throughout the city. Therefore, both energy costs and carbon footprint will be significantly reduced for those who are part of the network.

Opened new offices in the EU and the US

E-Sign has rapidly expanded both in the UK and internationally, which is evident by the opening of our new offices in Ireland and the US. The establishment of these offices allows us to support even more businesses and industries with their digital transformation and streamline document processes to increase efficiency.

Awarded G-Cloud 14 Framework Contract

In 2024, E-Sign was successfully awarded a G-Cloud 14 (Lots 1-3) Framework Contract. Suppliers that are listed on G-Cloud are required to be fully vetted to ensure they are credible, reliable providers and are suitable for supplying solutions to the public sector. E-Sign was previously an approved supplier on the current G-Cloud 13 and has now become an approved supplier on G-Cloud 14, which went live on the 9th of November.

Maintained ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accreditations

E-Sign is committed to maintaining the highest possible standards and using best practices in our security and operational processes. With that in mind, we are delighted to have maintained our ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accreditations for another year. These accreditations establish criteria for quality management systems and information security management systems, providing guidance for how to maintain and continually improve our systems.

Supported MSB Woolton Coaching FC

esign supports woolton fc in community initiative

This year we were delighted to announce our support of MSB Woolton Coaching FC. Founded in 1994, MSB Woolton FC has quickly become a cornerstone of youth football in the Liverpool area. The club provides boys and girls of all ages with opportunities to develop their football skills, build teamwork, and grow in confidence. By backing local initiatives like MSB Woolton FC, E-Sign aims to give back to the community that has been instrumental in its success.

Presented at UKCRC Clinical Trials Committee

The E-Sign team were invited to attend and speak at the UKCRC Clinical Trials Committee in October and gain valuable insights into the key issues faced by Clinical Trials Units. We presented our case study in collaboration with the University of Oxford Diabetes Trials Unit, highlighting how E-Sign enhanced their document management processes.

Achieved FSQS accreditation

E-Sign became fully certified with the Financial Supplier Qualification System (FSQS) meeting all requirements for registration. The FSQS is an accreditation tool used by many of the leading banks and financial organisations in the UK when choosing suppliers. With this certification, E-Sign can prove that we follow a successful audit process and offer existing clients additional assurance, whilst creating new opportunities to work with leading financial services organisations.

New Products & Developments

Integration with Microsoft SharePoint

Integrations are an extremely important part of what E-Sign can offer to customers looking to create customised workflows with multiple platforms. This year, we released a direct integration with Microsoft SharePointwhich combines the features of E-Sign and SharePoint to offer a smoother and more streamline way of using e-signatures on documents. This is just one example of how we can meet business needs and offer a streamlined solution that allows applications to work together to increase operational efficiency.

Integration with Salesforce

Another new integration we developed this year was our updated integration with Salesforce, which allows customers to use E-Sign alongside their sales document processes to maximise their Salesforce investment. E-Sign’s integration with Salesforce simplifies the process of creating, editing, negotiating, managing, and signing contracts by doing it electronically through the platform. You won’t need to switch between different applications, once integrated, all your document requirements can be managed through Salesforce.

eWitness Module

E-Sign’s eWitnessing module is an impressive new feature, particularly for industries like real estate, legal, and finance which typically handle documents that require a witness. The module allows users to create an envelope for recipients and allocate a requirement for a witness to sign the document. E-Sign’s eWitnessing feature allows documents to be signed with multiple witnesses, streamlines a previously time-consuming paper-based process and is compliant with HM Land Registry requirements on the use of electronic signatures.

Web Forms

This year we introduced our new Web Form feature, allowing businesses to quickly and seamlessly capture relevant data in a secure format. In many cases, web forms are a great way to capture your website visitors’ details, consent form data and more, in a format that can be shared via email, on your website or on social media. The flexibility of E-Sign’s new feature and its ability to be tailored specifically to an organisation through adding company branding and its use cases make it an invaluable feature for many of our clients.

21 CFR Part 11 Module

E-Sign’s 21 CFR Part 11 module is included with our Enterprise license and has specific functionality that is designed to ensure compliance with the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) 21 CFR Part 11 framework. E-Sign’s module ensures compliance with 21 CFR part 11 by providing authentication, reason for signature, and signature manifestation. These tools ensure regulatory compliance while making the signing process faster, more cost-effective, and convenient for all parties involved.

New Developer Hub

Our newly designed Developer Hub allows businesses to seamlessly integrate the platform into their existing processes. The Developer Hub provides more flexibility for developers when using our API to ensure effective optimisation, with impressive features such as:

  • Advanced API Guides
  • Change log to stay up-to-date with the latest changes
  • A built-in playground for testing

Platform Updates

As well as the new products we have introduced, the E-Sign team has also been working hard on updates to ensure clients receive the best possible experience when using the platform. These updates include:

  • Save as feature – users who are completing a document can save their progress and return to it later without losing the details they have already filled in.
  • Envelope notification preferences – users can turn off notifications so they don’t receive an email every time there is an update to the document. They will only get an email notification once it is fully completed.
  • Multi-factor authentication for log-in – users must verify their identity through multi-factor authentication before logging into their account.
  • Signer device lock – users can lock the document to a device via IP address, so that it can’t be forwarded or accessed in a different location without a secure PIN that is sent to their email address
  • Updated user guides and video tutorials
  • Increased mobile optimisation
  • Improved digital accessibility

Managing Director Tom Taylor said this when reflecting on 2024 at E-Sign:

“2024 has been a big year for E-Sign, we have had a lot of exciting developments and important achievements that deserve recognition. As a team, we’re looking forward to seeing what 2025 brings and the doors that will be opened thanks to new offerings like qualified e-signatures which we will be introducing next year.”

What’s coming in 2025?

A new year brings new opportunities and we’re excited to have multiple new products and updates in the pipeline to share with our customers.

Qualified electronic signatures

This year we have been working through the requirements and conformity process to be able to provide qualified electronic signatures, which will be available in 2025. Becoming a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) and providing qualified e-signatures will open up new possibilities for E-Sign and what we can offer to businesses, especially for highly regulated sectors like finance and banking, legal, and insurance that require a higher level of security and identification in their document transactions.

New mobile app

At E-Sign, we are always striving to optimise our products and services for our customers and in 2025 we will be launching our new mobile app, which will be available on IOS and Android devices. This will help make the digital signing and document processes even simpler for users.

More focus on integrations

Integrations are an important part of a product offering, as they enable our customers to create bespoke workflows and automations with their existing or new applications. We plan to continue to focus on developing more integrations, with an integration with Microsoft Dynamics coming soon, enabling E-Sign to be integrated with more platforms across various sectors.
