We are pleased to announce that E-Sign has successfully been awarded a G-Cloud 14 (Lots 1-3) Framework Contract. Suppliers that are listed on G-Cloud are required to be fully vetted to ensure they are a credible, reliable provider and are suitable for supplying solutions to the public sector.

E-Sign was previously an approved supplier on the current G-Cloud 13 and has now become an approved supplier on G-Cloud 14, which will be going live on the 9th November 2024.

What is G-Cloud?

G-Cloud is an online platform for public sector organisations looking to purchase digital services from a pre-approved list of suppliers. The framework for G-Cloud was established through the Official Journal of the European Community (OJEU) under the Open Procedure and is fully compliant with The Public Contracts Regulations 2006.

Using the G-Cloud Public Procurement Gateway (PPG), public sector and government organisations can go directly to a list of credible suppliers, rather than going through a lengthy tender process, helping to save time and money, and improve productivity and efficiency for the already overstretched and often underfunded public services.

What’s the difference between G-Cloud 13 and G-Cloud 14?

G-Cloud 13 was first launched in 2022 and brought significant improvements to the framework, with the new Public Procurement Gateway replacing the Digital Marketplace. This change ensured greater efficiency and a more streamlined experience for both buyers and suppliers. G-Cloud 13 focused on key cloud services including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

G-Cloud continues to build upon the new framework established by G-Cloud 13, providing an increasingly user-friendly experience for all users. Below are some of the main ways G-Cloud 14 is different to its predecessor.

  • More transparency – suppliers are required to provide more detailed information about their products or services. In particular how they meet strict security standards.
  • Wider scope – G-Cloud 14 widens the range of the services available to the public sector, incorporating specialist cloud services in addition to SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
  • Longer contracts – the maximum contract length will be increased to 36 months from 24 months in certain services, in recognition of longer-term projects.
  • Clearer feedback from users – G-Cloud 14 has a new feedback mechanism for users, allowing them to rate and review their services, which benefits buyers and suppliers.
