E-Sign is excited to announce that our Liverpool office at No.8 Princes Parade is going to be the first commercial building in the city to have our heating and hot water supply connected to the Mersey Heat network. This network features a multi million pound energy centre that has the capacity to provide low carbon heating and hot water to thousands of homes and businesses throughout the city. Therefore, both energy costs and carbon footprint will be significantly reduced for those who are part of the network.
The energy centre is currently under construction with completion expected to be this coming autumn. Once it is up and running, the centre will be home to one of the UK’s biggest water source heat pumps. This means it will take heat from the nearby Leeds/Liverpool canal and use it to provide heating to surrounding homes and businesses via a 6km district heating network.
Adam Ross, Director of Operations at E-Sign, said:
“E-Sign is happy to be part of this transition to the Mersey Heat network as we’re passionate about environmental sustainability and doing our part to reduce carbon emissions. Through the products and services we provide and the processes we have in place for ourselves we strive to make a positive difference.”
